“Baked” Beans Superfoods Style!


What an amazing weekend we had camping! It is most certainly soul food to live and sleep among giant tree people. Lots of hiking, nature, and tai chi for me interspersed with relaxation and family fun all around. Check out the girls doing sun salutations on the lean-to.

On the Superfoods menu for our trip was our world famous, “Baked” Beans (pg 132). Start out with some sprouted great northern beans and Barbecue Sauce (pg 132), and then throw in all kinds of local, in-season, fresh, organic produce for slow warming on the fire. Yum, they go very well with an IPA and spooned over a bed of local greens! Leah loved these beans, thats for sure. She ate them for breakfast too!

    the sprouted bake beans are an amazing dish -
    i’ve made the recipe-yum!! currently i’m working on a recipe for mushroom burgers using organic traditions sprouted risotto…when i get it right,i’ll share the
    recipe with everyone…practicing sure is fun!
